Devon Gilmore, Elementary K-5
Mrs. Gilmore's educational career began as an elementary teacher at Washington Elementary. Since that time Mrs. Gilmore has also served Sedalia School District 200 as the instructional coach for Washington Elementary. Her main responsibilities now include curriculum and instruction, professional development, and assessment for the elementary level. Mrs. Gilmore believes in providing high quality foundational skills to our students. She says, "With a solid foundation, our students will have the proper footing to achieve their goals and strive for more."
Sedalia School District #200 is committed to providing an outstanding education for all its students by utilizing a continuous improvement model to enhance student learning. The curriculum is aligned to the Missouri Show-Me Standards, the state Grade Level Expectations, and the district’s local performance standards. On-going, high quality professional development is provided to all staff members to ensure that differentiated and accelerated instruction is in place and is supported financially. Common assessments are given at all grade levels and in all courses to ensure continuity of learning and overall mastery of objectives. Curriculum is reviewed, revised, and updated annually based on a board-approved seven-year cycle. All educational programs support the curriculum.
