NHS Selection Process

  • Step 1. Students with the cumulative GPA of 9.5 or 3.45 will receive an invitation to the NHS informational meeting usually scheduled the last Wednesday of January sophomore and junior year.


    Step 2. Apply. Students will be given an application to fill out and be brought to the Guidance office the following Wednesday after the informational meeting.


    Step 3. Teacher Evaluation Forms are sent out. This evaluation holds the cumulative responses of all teachers 9-12.


    Step 4. Teacher Council meets to review candidates


    Step 5. Students are notified of results


    Step 6. Appeal letter can be made up to one week after students are notified. These should be brought to the adviser or principal.


    Step 7. Induction
