• Title III - Language Instruction for English Learners and Immigrant Students

    What is Title III?
Title III ensures ELs including immigrant students and youth, attain English proficiency, develop high levels of academic achievement in English, and meet the challenging state academic standards by achieving high levels in the core academic subjects, in educational settings taught in English.

How does this impact Sedalia School District #200?
Sedalia School District #200 uses models such as content-based instruction, sheltered classroom, ELD coaching, and pull-out to help support English Learners academically.  Each building has at least one EL teacher to support our students and their growth with the English language.

How do we use Title II.A funds?
Title III funds are used to provide instructional assistants for our EL programs as well as support the needs of our immigrant students and refugees.
