Our Mission is to provide a challenging education in a safe environment for all students so they will become productive, responsible, and successful members of our diverse society.

Our commitment to maximize learning and achievement for all students is accomplished by providing high-quality staff members and exemplary educational experiences for our students.

On behalf of Sedalia School District 200, I would like to thank the community of Sedalia for the continued support of your children and the mission of our school district.

Our district has a passionate and caring staff who strive to ensure that every student feels safe and supported. The district’s dedicated and highly qualified teaching staff offer our students the opportunity to learn and grow with a sense of purpose and professionalism. Support staff members put forth great effort and understand the important role they play in the education, development, and safety of all students. The district’s maintenance and custodial staff care for more than 900,000 square feet of facilities and more than 150 acres of property; their invaluable contributions deserve both respect and admiration.

The district’s volunteer board of directors serve our students and staff for the betterment of the entire community, making decisions based on what is best for our students. The district also deeply appreciates that our parents and patrons understand the importance of a quality education experience and the impact education has on the growth and betterment of our entire community.

The district also recognizes its many business partners and the support they provide to the mission of the district. Without the generosity and efforts of these businesses and individuals, our students would not have the number of opportunities that are afforded to them.

Our students give back to the community in the form of hundreds of hours of community service each year. Students know the value of giving as well as the value of a quality education, and this reflects the love and support they receive at school, at home, and in our community.

From pre-K through 12th grade, the district offers a diverse curriculum allowing our students to be college- and career-ready upon graduation. While our students perform well on standardized tests, they also learn that the most important work requires them to solve problems and work as a team. Standards of excellence and teamwork result in our children’s’ ability to excel in life whether that choice includes continued education, entering the workforce, military service, or raising a family.

My goal as the superintendent of Sedalia School District 200 is to make this district the “Parents’ Choice” of districts with a positive reputation on both a state and national level. This district and the Board of Education have many complicated decisions moving forward in the designs and outcomes of our facilities, grade level configurations, and future growth. It is a personal goal to guide the district through this process and ensure that Sedalia School District 200 is well prepared for generations to come.

Please allow me to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation to the students, staff, parents, patrons, and Board of Education for this opportunity to serve.
