The Smith-Cotton JROTC Academic Team consists of 1 team, with 6 people. The team competes in three bowls a year consisting of Math, Science, English, Current Events, and JROTC curriculum. Competitions are against every other academic team in the nation. If the team qualifies in the first two bowls, the team earns a live quiz bowl competition in Washington D.C. against other teams who qualify for the Nationals. Cadets need to practice ACTs, keep up to date with current events, and study hard. Use www.act.org for practice ACTs, and use multiple different news outlets for current events.
